Debjit Patitundi combines technical skill, musicality, and dedication with a deep understanding of rhythm and timing. His expertise is the result of a lifetime spent learning and performing alongside some of the world’s finest musicians.
Debjit’s musical journey began at the age of three under the guidance of his father, Shri Amal Patitundi, a renowned tabla player and disciple of tabla maestro Pandit Sankha Chatterjee. He trained for several years with Pandit Sankha Chatterjee and later with the legendary Pandit Subhankar Banerjee.
He has performed at the Darbar Festival and other major music festivals worldwide. Debjit is also an A-grade artist for All India Radio and Doordarshan.
