Beginner Vocal Course: Find Your Voice

This course helps you understand and embrace your unique voice, starting with your natural pitch and its qualities. You'll learn the movement and placement of notes (swars) through focused vocal exercises, building precision and control. Exploring a chosen raga, you'll gain a practical understanding of basic tala and raga theory, alongside sargam practice and simple compositions. You'll also learn the importance of riyaz, building consistent practice routines to support your journey.
This course builds a strong foundation for further study. On completion, you'll be eligible to move on to Intermediate Vocals with Indrani Mukherjee.

Intermediate Vocal Course

Building on your foundation, this course develops greater vocal control, range, and musicality. You'll work with advanced sargam and alankar patterns, refining breath control and tonal clarity. New ragas are introduced, exploring their moods (bhava) and characteristic phrases (pakad), along with new talas to deepen your rhythmic understanding. Ornamentation techniques like meend and gamak add expression to your singing.
You'll begin working with khayal, navigating vilambit and madhya tempo compositions, alongside taan practice to build improvisational confidence.
By the end, you'll have a stronger, more expressive voice — ready for Advanced Vocals with Indrani Mukherjee.

Advanced Vocal Course

Designed for students ready to perform with confidence and creativity, this course explores a broader repertoire of intricate, time-specific ragas, deepening your understanding of mood and presentation. You'll refine khayal singing across vilambit, madhya, and drut tempos, with strong focus on improvisation — alap, bol-taan, and elaborate taan patterns — developing your own musical voice.
You may also explore semi-classical forms like thumri, adding emotional depth to your singing, alongside stage presence and performance readiness.
By the end, you'll have the technical command and musical maturity to perform Hindustani classical music authentically.
