What Our Tabla Students Are Saying

Learning Tabla with Gurdain Ji has genuinely changed the way I connect with music. When I first joined his class, I was nervous and unsure of my abilities, but Sir immediately made me feel comfortable. He noticed my strengths even before I did and kept pushing me in a positive way. What I appreciate most is how he explains things—he doesn’t just teach the bols, he makes sure I understand the feel and emotion behind them. Every week I look forward to class, and I can see how much I’ve improved because of his patient and consistent guidance. I’m really grateful to be his student.

Before learning from Gurdain Sir, I never imagined I could play Tabla confidently. He has this calm, friendly way of teaching that makes me feel supported even when I’m struggling. Sir always takes time to show me the correct hand positions, correct my mistakes gently, and celebrate even my small improvements. I love that he treats every student with respect and genuinely wants us to grow. Thanks to him, I’ve developed not just my technique but also a real love for Tabla. I feel lucky to have him as my teacher.
